Post-Game Notes

  • This marks Penn’s 1,378th football game, continuing their own NCAA record. They have played 50 more games than the second-place Rutgers (1,328) and became the first program to hit 1,300 games played with a Halloween overtime win in 2009 at Brown.
  • Justin Watson caught a pass for the 35th straight game – extending his Penn career record. He is No. 3 all-time in the Ivy League, closing in on the record of 39 games held by Cornell’s Keith Ferguson (1999-2002) and Harvard’s Corey Mazza (2003-07).
  • Watson is now just the ninth player in Ivy League history to surpass 2,000 receiving yards in Ivy League games. With his 2,059 receiving yards in Ivy games, he is only the second Penn wide receiver with 2,000+ receiving yards in Ivy games (Rob Milanese ’03, 2,594).
  • Watson now ranks No. 7 among Ivy receivers in yards during Ivy League games
  • Watson’s tying touchdown in the fourth quarter was his 26th career receiving touchdown, tying him for No. 2 all-time by a Quaker and No. 8 all-time by an Ivy Leaguer.
  • Watson now ranks No. 5 all-time in All-Purpose Yards by a Penn player with 3,488.
  • Tayler Hendrickson had a career high in sacks with 2.0.
  • Freshman linebacker Brian O’Neill recorded his first career interception with 6:46 remaining in the first quarter.
  • Nick Miller had 10+ tackles for the fifth time in five games this season, finishing with 11. He had eight solo tackles – the fourth time in 2017 he recorded 8+ solo stops.
  • Jay Cammon, Jr. made a career-high 13 tackles.
  • Patrick McInerney had three tackles – including a solo tackle for loss – in his career debut at linebacker.
