PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's squash teams will have an opportunity to clinch a spot in the Ivy League tournament with wins over Princeton on Saturday, Feb. at 1 p.m.
The men's team will look to add their third straight win of the season as they face off against the Tigers. The Quakers defeated Cornell, 6-3, and swept Columbia, 9-0, in their last two matches. The team is currently 9-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play, sitting at the third spot in the Ivy rankings. The men can clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Tigers on Saturday, and a Cornell victory over Columbia.
The women's team enters the match looking to add to their 11-0 unbeaten record. The team swept Cornell and Columbia last weekend in their second and third straight 9-0 shutouts. The Quakers sit just behind Harvard in the Ivy League standings with a 3-0 conference record. With a win over the Tigers on Saturday, the women's team will clinch an Ivy Tournament berth.

Quaker Notemeal
The No. 3 ranked men's team comes into Saturday's match after getting back into the win column last weekend against Columbia and Cornell. The top four players in the lineup,
Omar Hafez (#1),
Salman Khalil (#2),
Marwan Abdelsalam (#3) and
Alex Dartnell (#4) followed up their CSA Individual Championships runs by adding two wins each over their opponents last weekend. Hafez leads the team with nine wins on the season and was named Penn student athlete of the week for his national championship performance in the CSA Individuals.
The No. 2 ranked women's team enters the match as one of just two teams in the CSA standings with an undefeated record. The fourth ranked Tigers will be the toughest test for the Quakers since they knocked off then fourth, now third ranked Stanford on Nov. 22. The team has swept each of their three Ivy League opponents so far this season, looking to add on to their success against the Tigers and clinch an Ivy Tournament berth. Team captain

Previewing the Tigers
Princeton's men's squad is coming off of wins against Cornell and Columbia last weekend, bringing their overall season record to 4-4. Before those two victories, the Tigers had lost their last three matches, albeit to top five ranked opponents. Top player Hollis Robertson secured two victories in last weekend's matches, currently with a 5-2 record this season. Aly Ibrahim leads the squad with six wins in eight matches this year. The Tigers will clinch a spot in the Ivy Tournament with a win over the Quakers and a Cornell win over Columbia on Saturday.
The Princeton women's team is undoubtedly one of the top teams in the nation this season, currently ranked fourth in the CSA with an 8-1 record. The team's only loss came at the hands of No. 3 Stanford on Nov. 23 as they fell, 6-3. Since then, the Tigers have been on a roll winning their next seven matches, including five sweeps. Furthermore, top ranked player Zeina Zein won the women's CSA Individual Championship on Jan. 27. Zein has posted an undefeated 8-0 record for the Tigers this season.
