T&F Set to Close Regular Season Hosting the Philly Metro

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's track & field teams will close out the regular season hosting the Philadelphia Metro on Feb. 20 at the Ott Center.
 
Field events are scheduled to begin Friday at 2:00 p.m, followed by running events starting at 3:30 p.m.

Last Time Out
The Quakers competed at two meets last weekend, traveling to Clemson, S. C. for the Tiger Paw Invitational and Boston, Mass. for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational. 

At the Tiger Paw Invitational, Tiago Socarras set a program record in the 800m with a time of 1:46.28, 10th-fastest time in the NCAA this season. 
 
Benjamin Markham, Nayyir Newash-Campbell, Socarras, and Ryan Matulonis won the 4x400m relay with a school record time of 3:06.35. Matulonis set a personal-best 400m time of 46.37, second-fastest in program history.
 
Jailyn Milord led the Quakers in the 400m with a personal-best time of 53.16. Milord also recorded a personal-best time of 23.88 in the 200m, ranked fourth all-time in program history. 
 
In Boston, Quin Stovall finished second in the women's 800m with a time of 2:07.08, followed by L'Mio Edwards in third with a time of 2:07.15.
 
Sarah Fischer and Anna Weirich recorded personal-best times in the women's 5000m, Fischer (16:17.43) clocked in first for Penn  followed by Weirich at 16:23.55.
