PHILADELPHIA – The start of the University of Pennsylvania sprint football team's season cannot come soon enough, as the William R. Wagner Head Coach
Jerry McConnell announced the program's schedule for the 2025 season on Tuesday morning.
"Coming off a strong fall season and a great spring, we couldn't be more excited to announce our schedule for the fall," said McConnell. "This season will be the 95th for Penn Sprint and will be a time to celebrate our program. This year, we return to playing all the teams in the CSFL and still have the opportunity to compete for a Southern Division Championship.
"We come right out of the gate with our divisional opponent, Caldwell, which will be Champions and Captains Night. We will have our annual DPIG walkathon on Sunday, Oct. 12, and our Senior Night against Cornell on Nov. 14. We are excited about this schedule and look forward to celebrating our 95th season."
The campaign features four games at Franklin Field, highlighted by two CSFL South opponents.
Penn opens the year hosting Caldwell on Sept. 19, hitting the road for the first time for a meeting at Mansfield on Sept. 27. The Quakers open October action in University City with a battle with St. Thomas Aquinas (Oct. 3), followed by a trip to the defending CSFL Champion Army Black Knights on Oct. 10.
The Red and Blue come out of the bye week, taking the quick trip to Chestnut Hill on Oct. 25 before Navy comes to Franklin Field for a Saturday night outing on Nov. 1. The regular season wraps up with a road game at Molloy on Nov. 7, and Senior Night on Nov. 14, with Ivy League foe Cornell.
Penn went 5-2 during the 2024 season, earning a 1-2 record in CSFL South division play. The Quakers picked up victories against St. Thomas Aquinas (24-0), Mansfield (24-13), Cornell (41-0), Molloy (49-0), and Caldwell (24-14) during the year.
