How It Happened
Connor Chavez led off the first inning with a double to left center and scored on a groundout to give Penn an early 1-0 lead.

Will Tobin allowed a leadoff single to begin the first inning but then ended up loading the bases with one out. He ended up striking out the side, punching out Aiden Stewart and then fanned Brett Walmsley to get out of the bases-loaded jam.

Pokrovsky ripped a two-out double to right center field to bring up Wilson to begin the second. Wilson had a two-bagger himself through the left-center gap, bringing home Pokrovsky to take a 2-0 lead. Brett Lesher opened the bottom of the second inning with a leadoff home run, cutting into the Quakers' lead at 2-1.

Tobin allowed two runners on base in the third but worked out of trouble when he retired Walmsley looking to hang onto the lead.

Taylor opened the fourth frame with a leadoff single to center field and ended up stealing second base. Qwynn Ahearn singled to right, putting runners on the corners with nobody out. A sacrifice fly off the bat of Pokrovsky scored Taylor and gave the Quakers a 3-1 advantage. Penn extended its lead to 6-1 off back-to-back RBI doubles from Chavez and Baker, which scored both Chavez and Wilson. Collins laced an RBI single to right center field to cap a five-run inning and lead 7-1. Delaware got a run back on LT Cockrill's solo homer, making it a 7-2 game. The Hens made it a three-run game on Rory Finn's two-run double to left field. Stewart flied out to center field to retire the side.

Penn picked up its sixth double of the day in the fifth inning after Pokrovsky ripped one through the left side, advancing Ahearn to third base for Wilson with one out. The Quakers tacked on an eighth run after Wilson grounded out, bringing home Ahearn to double the lead at 8-4.

After Amato led off the sixth with a triple. the Blue Hens tallied their third homer of the game, adding two runs to make it an 8-6 game. Graeber's double to left center field was UD's third extra-base hit of the frame.

Ahearn, continuing to rake in the series, sent his second homer of the weekend over the center-field wall—the deepest part of the park—while driving in three runs to give Penn an 11-6 lead. Mott replaced Cerwinski in the seventh, walking Walmsley to open the inning. Mott loaded the bases, bringing in Aidan von Zuben out of the pen. Amato singled through the left side, scored two runs as Delaware inched closer at 11-8. Finn drove in Tyer to get the Hens back within two runs. Bouldin put UD in front on its fourth home run of the day, a three-run opposite-field shot to take a 12-11 edge.

After giving up the go-ahead homer in the previous inning, Darling worked out of a jam once again, loading the bases but striking out the red-hot Finn swinging to end the threat. That gave Penn one final chance to re-take the lead in the top of the ninth.

Taylor led off the ninth with a single through the left-field gap. Pokrovsky recorded his third double of the day, scoring Taylor to tie the game up at 12-12. Darling continued to battle in the ninth, punching out the first two batters he faced. He got Stewart to ground out to short to set up free baseball in Newark.

Collins began the 10th with a single, while Taylor walked and Collins advanced to third on a wild pitch. Ahearn grounded out to end the inning.

Darling took the mound again in the bottom of the 10th, as UD tried to walk it off after singles from Cockrill and Tyer, but they were left on the corners to send it to the 11th.

Pokrovsky struck out to begin the 11th and so did Nick Guachione, who pinch hit for Cole McGonigal. Nick O'Brien flied out to center field to end the frame.

Tommy Delany hit the first batter he saw in the 11th, but a fielder's choice and a 6-4-3 double play ended the inning and sent it to the 12th. The Quakers were retired 1-2-3 to end the road half of the 12th inning, bringing the Hens up once again.

Stewart opened the 12th inning with a single, Walmsley following up with another to put runners on first and second. They got into scoring position when Cockrill singled to right center to load them up. Delaware walked off the contest on a wild pitch from Delany, earning a 13-12 victory.
