WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team wrapped up Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) regular season competition with a 195.500 at William & Mary.
The Quakers took home first place in all four events and the all-around.
BARS – Penn 48.800
The Red and Blue started the afternoon off strong with their performance on bars.
Jordan Barrow and
Skyelar Kerico tied for the best outing at 9.800.
Zara Gazdak finished right behind them with a score of 9.775.
Mimi Fletcher recorded a 9.750.
Marissa Lassiter and
Sophia Paris notched a 9.625 and 9.675 respectively.
VAULT – Penn 48.950
Penn recorded the second-highest vault score of the season at 48.950.
Manama Fofana tied a career-high score of 9.850 which led the Quakers. At the anchor spot, Barrow notched a 9.825. Lassiter scored a 9.800. Kerico finished at 9.750.
Olivia VanHorn recorded a score of 9.725. In her third meet of the season competing on vault,
Alisha Werlen earned a 9.700.
FLOOR – Penn 48.800
An all-around effort on the floor exercise helped Penn score a 48.800. Kerico led the team with a 9.825. Fofana recorded with a score of 9.800. Lassiter,
Emma Davies and Werlen finished around each other - scoring a 9.750, 9.725 and a 9.700. Gazdak rounded out the group at 9.650.
BEAM – Penn 48.950
The freshmen highlighted Penn's beam routine. After her record-setting performance at Towson, Fletcher once again led the Quakers with a 9.875. Fofana set a new career high at 9.850. Kerico recorded her third 9.8 of the afternoon with a 9.800. Werlen attained a score of 9.775.
Samantha Wu finished the routine with a 9.650.
Rotation Notes
*The Quakers recorded the second-best team score of the 2025 season at 195.500. It is the eighth-best in program history.
*Penn individually won all four events and the all-around for the second time this season (Southern Connecticut – Feb. 15, 2025).
*Kerico took home three title wins. She won in the all-around (39.125) and on the floor exercise (9.825) and split the bars title with Barrow (9.800).
*Fofana secured first place on vault with a score of 9.850. It's the third-best event score in school history.
*Fletcher placed first on the balance beam in back-to-back meets at 9.875. She has already reached that mark three times in just her freshman campaign.
*Penn finished a perfect 10-0 against GEC teams in the regular season.
