NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team won their third straight meet, scoring a season-high 195.150 at Southern Connecticut State.
The Quakers had all four individual event winners and the all-around champion.
BARS – Penn 48.925
After becoming the first Penn gymnast since 2001 to score a 9.95 or better on bars last week,
Skyelar Kerico followed up that performance with a 9.900.
Jordan Barrow tied her career-high with a score of 9.800.
Zara Gazdak replicated that mark.
Sophia Paris scored a 9.725 and
Marissa Lassiter finished at 9.700.
VAULT – Penn 48.800
Penn followed up with a stellar performance on the vault. Barrow anchored the Quakers with an event-best 9.800.
Olivia VanHorn recorded a season-best score of 9.775 which
Manama Fofana tied. Kerico and Lassiter each scored a 9.725.
Sienna Zuccaro rounded out the group at 9.700.
FLOOR – Penn 48.950
Fofana picked up the first event win of her collegiate career, scoring a 9.850. She split the top spot with Kerico. Gazdak picked up her fifth 9.8 or better on floor this season with a 9.800. In her third ever competition on floor,
Alisha Werlen earned a 9.775. Lassiter scored a 9.675 and
Samantha Wu finished with a score of 9.650
BEAM – Penn 48.375
The Quakers had a solid showing on the balance beam. Werlen led the way, tying a career-high score of 9.800. After not competing on the event last week, Kerico scored a 9.675 – same as Barrow.
Mimi Fletcher finished at 9.650. Lassiter ended her night with a 9.575.
Rotation Notes
*Kerico is the second Penn gymnast to score a 9.9 or better on a single event three times in a season. She becomes the third gymnast in program history (Kyra Levi and McCaleigh Marr) to score three 9.9's on bars in their career.
*Kerico became the first gymnast this season to win multiple events in one meet. She was the outright champion on bars (9.900) and split the floor title (9.850). She also won in the all-around for the first time this season (39.150).
*Barrow picked up her second vault title of the season with a score of 9.800.
*Werlen tied her career-high on beam (9.800) en route to a first place finish.
*Fofana won her first career individual event, splitting the floor title with Kerico (9.850).
*The only event in which Penn didn't have all top three scorers was the balance beam where Alexa Melanson finished third.

The Quakers will be looking to defend their Ivy crown next Sunday as they will travel up to Ithaca, N.Y. for the Ivy Classic with Cornell, Brown and Yale.
