PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team returned to The Palestra for the first time in nearly a month, picking up a second-place finish in its Alumni Meet against Bridgeport, Cornell and William & Mary Sunday afternoon.

The Quakers scored a 193.750 to finish behind GEC foe Cornell (194.125), but ahead of W&M in third (192.750) and Bridgeport in fourth (191.225).

VAULT | Penn 48.875
Penn opened the meet in traditional Olympic order, tallying six scores of 9.7 or higher in the rotation.
Skyelar Kerico and
Jordan Barrow each led the way with marks of 9.825, while
Madison Perkins and
Zara Gazdak tallied a 9.750. It was a 9.725 for
Isabel Song in the leadoff while
Emma Davies picked up a score of 9.700 in her season debut on the apparatus.

It was a strong showing in the 4-6 spots for the Quakers as Kerico ended the rotation with a team-high 9.850.
Sophia Paris and Gazdak registered identical scores of 9.725 to tie for second on the event.

BEAM | Penn 47.900
Kerico continued her tear on the balance beam with a team-best score of 9.775 in the six spot.
Carly Oniki and
Samantha Wu followed closely with marks of 9.675.

FLOOR | Penn 48.950
It was a strong end to the afternoon for the Quakers on floor exercise, led once again by Davies with a 9.850. Gazdak recorded a score of 9.800, followed by
Ana Kenefick (9.775), Kerico (9.775) and
Marissa Lassiter (9.750).

Skyelar Kerico and
Jordan Barrow finished in a three-way tie (with Bridgeport's Nova Staruk) for the vault title with matching scores of 9.825.
Zara Gazdak and
Madison Perkins tied for fifth overall (9.750), while
Isabel Song tied for seventh (9.725) and
Emma Davies (9.700) finished in a four-way tie for 10th.
*Kerico sat alone in first place in the uneven bars with a score of 9.850.
Sophia Paris took solo second (9.775) with Gazdak tied for eighth place (9.725).
*Kerico also won the balance beam with a score of 9.775.
Samantha Wu and
Carly Oniki tied for third (9.675).
Kiersten Belkoff tied for ninth (9.600) in her return to the lineup.
*Davies finished in a four-way tie for fourth place on the floor exercise with a score of 9.850. Gazdak tied for fifth place (9.800) with five others.
*Kerico's masterful performance resulted in a first-place finish on the all-around with a career-high score of 39.225.
