Princeton, N.J. – The fourth-ranked University of Pennsylvania women's squash team fell 9-0 to third-ranked Princeton, at Jadwin Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.
This concluded the regular season portion of the schedule, as Penn finished 10-4, 3-3 in the Ivy League, 9-1 at home and 1-3 on the road.
The first wave was highlighted by
Franka Vidovic,
Avni Anand,
Natasha Pensler and
Grace Lavin. Lavin fell in three games at No. 7 in 23 minutes. Soon after, at No. 5, Pensler was swept in three games despite a tight loss in game three, 14-12.
Anand dropped her match in 28 minutes and three games at No. 3, giving the Tigers a 3-0 lead. Closing out the final wave was Vidovic, who despite picking up a win in game two, fell in four at No. 2.
Up next for the Quakers was
Penelope Oh,
Emma Carter,
Emma Wolf and
Ashna Tumuluri. Carter and Oh were each swept, while Carter's match lasted 19 minutes at No. 9, and Oh's ended in 20 minutes at No. 8.
Wolf earned a win in game two, but ultimately fell in four at No. 6 and 29 minutes. Tumuluri at No. 4 suffered a three-game defeat in 25 minutes.
Sohaila Ismail closed out the day for Penn. Ismail picked up a win in game one 11-8 but was overpowered in the next three as she lost at No. 1 in the longest match of the day at 43 minutes.
