PHILADELPHIA- The third-ranked University of Pennsylvania women's squash team will head to Connecticut this weekend, with matches against seventh-ranked Yale on Saturday, and top-ranked Trinity on Sunday.
Penn will be on the road for back-to-back matches for the first time this season and will conclude their regular season in New Jersey next weekend.
Previewing Penn
Penn is 10-1 this season, including five 9-0 sweeps, and are 3-1 in Ivy League play. The Quakers have also earned five wins over top-10 opponents. Penn's lone loss of the season came against Harvard last Sunday, 9-0.
The women started the season ranked eighth according to the CSA (College Squash Association) and have reached the highest ranking of second.
Freshman
Franka Vidovic and
Grace Lavin lead the team with 9-1 records, while last year's CSA (College Squash Association) first-team All-American, first-team All-Ivy and Ivy League Rookie of the Year,Â
Malak Taha is 5-1, including a win in conference play.

Previewing the Bulldogs
Yale is 5-2 this season, 3-1 in conference play and have won three in a row and are 2-1 at home. Last weekend the Bulldogs picked up two victories, a 6-3 win over 12th-ranked Columbia on Saturday, and a 6-3 win against eighth-ranked Cornell on Sunday. Sneha Sivakumar, Gigi Yeung, Meghna Sreedhar, Rashi Giverdhanam and Joy Qu all picked up a pair of victories.
Saturday's meeting will be the 65th all-time between the Quakers and the Bulldogs, as Yale holds a 39-25 advantage in the series. The teams met once last season, with the Bulldogs defeating the Quakers 7-2. Penn is looking to snap a five-match losing streak, dating back to the 2016-17 season.

Previewing the Bantams
Trinity is 8-0 this season and is 4-0 at home and 4-0 on the road. Last weekend Trinity took care of eighth-ranked Cornell 8-1, on Saturday, and handled 12th-ranked Columbia on Sunday, 8-1. The Bantams will take on fourth-ranked Princeton, prior to Sunday's match against Penn.
Sunday's meeting will be the 62nd all-time between the Quakers and Bantams, as Trinity holds a 42-19 advantage in the series. The teams met once last season, with the Bantams taking down the Quakers 9-0. Penn has lost the last seven matchups, dating back to the 2017-18 season. The longest winning streak for the Quakers lasted for four matches throughout the 2007-09 seasons.
