PHILADELPHIA- The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's squash teams split its highly anticipated matchup against Harvard on Sunday afternoon. The second-ranked Quaker men took down the fourth-ranked Crimson men 7-2, while the second-ranked Quaker women fell 9-0 to the third-ranked Crimson women.
The Penn men moved to 11-0, while the women dropped their first match of the season and sit at 10-1.

The first wave for the women featured
Sohaila Ismail,
Emma Carter and
Natasha Pensler. No.8, Carter fell in her game in three games and 21 minutes, while Pensler who played at No. 4, fell in three games and just 20 minutes.
No. 1 Ismail played a close game two, but ultimately fell in three games and 29 minutes.
The second slate of women was Anand,
Grace Lavin and Oh. Oh held close in games one and three, but was ultimately overpowered in three games, playing at No.7. Lavin, who played at No.6, picked up a 12-10 win in game two, but dropped her match in four games and 36 minutes.
After dropping her first game 2-11, Anand came back to win a close battle in game two to put herself within striking distance. Anand then dropped the next two games to fall in 41 minutes at No.3.
The final set of women included Rorke,
Emma Wolf and
Franka Vidovic. No.9 Rorke played her best game in game three, but it was not enough as she fell short in 18 minutes. Wolf who competed at No.5, played her best in game one but fell in three games.
Vidovic competed in the longest match of the day on the women's side. Although Vidovic secured a win in game one, she fell in the next three to drop the match in 42 minutes playing No. 2.
As for the men,
Salman Khalil,
Nathan Kueh and
Dana Santry were the first to see the court. Kueh was the first winner on the men's side. After building a two-game lead at No. 4, Kueh dropped game three but dominated game four for the win.
Santry, similarly, to Kueh, built up a two-game lead and used a strong game four to seal the deal at No.8 in an hour and one minute. Khalil competed in the longest match of the day, a thrilling five-game battle that lasted one hour and eight minutes. Khalil won games one, three and five throughout his win at No.1.
The next trio of men was highlighted by
Varun Chitturi,
Roger Baddour and Nicholas Spizzirri. Needing just two more wins to clinch, freshman Chitturi swept in three games and 34 minutes at No.6.
Spizzirri won by six points in each of his first two games, then dominated in game three, finishing in 32 minutes to solidify the match at the No. 3 spot.
Baddour, who made his season debut, dropped his match in four games at No.7, surrendering a point to Harvard.
The final wave of men featured
Abdelrahman Dweek,
Omar Hafez and
Rehan Luthra. Dweek surrendered the second point to the Crimson after falling in four games at No. 5. Hafez lost game one but came back to win the next three in dominating fashion at No. 2.
Luthra was the last finisher of the day for the men, picking up two wins in the final two games to help bolster the win at the No. 9 spot.
