PHILADELPHIA- The second-ranked University of Pennsylvania women's squash team continues Ivy League play this weekend with home matches Saturday and Sunday against 11th-ranked Dartmouth and top-ranked Harvard.
Matches this weekend are slated for a 12:00 p.m. start time from the Penn Squash Center.
Previewing Penn
The Quakers are 9-0 this season, including four 9-0 sweeps and are 2-0 in Ivy League play. Penn has also earned victories over five top-ten opponents.
Junior
Grace Lavin and freshman
Franka Vidovic lead the team each with 8-0 an record. Last year's CSA (College Squash Association) first-team All-American, first-team All-Ivy and Ivy League Rookie of the Year,
Malak Taha is 5-1, including a win in conference play.
Sophomores
Jana Dweek and
Natasha Pensler have each posted 6-2 records, senior
Avni Anand is 5-1 and freshmen Sohalia Ismail is 6-1.
Penn is coming off two 7-2 victories over ninth-ranked Cornell and 10th-ranked Columbia. Ismail, Vidovic, Pensler, Lavin and
Ashna Tumuluri were all 2-0 last weekend.

Previewing the Big Green
Dartmouth sits at 5-4, with a 0-2 record in league play. The Big Green dropped both matches last weekend with a 9-0 loss to second-ranked Trinity and an 8-1loss to seventh-ranked Yale. On Wednesday, January 24, the Big Green took down 14th-ranked Williams 9-0.
Saturday's meeting will be the 57th all-time between the Quakers and the Big Green, as Penn holds a 36-20 advantage in the series. The Quakers have one the last 21 matchups dating back to the 2005-06 season. Penn was able to beat Dartmouth twice last season, including a 9-0 victory to secure the Kurtz Cup. The Quakers are 15-9 at home and 13-6 on the road on the road against the Big Green.

Harvard sits at 4-1, with a 2-0 record in league play. The Crimson split a pair of matches last weekend with a 9-0 win over seventh-ranked Yale and a 6-3 loss to second-ranked Trinity. Marina Stefanoni, Lucie Stefanoni and Ella Galova picked up a pair of wins throughout the weekend.
Sunday's meeting will be the 57th all-time between the Quakers and the Crimson, as Harvard holds a 51-6 advantage in the series. The Crimson have won the last 10 meetings, with Penn's most recent victory dating back to the 2014-15 season. The Quakers fell 9-0 last year to the Crimson and are 2-20 both at home and on the road.
