*Penn moves to 9-7 in the all-time series against the Blue Jays, while winning the last three outings in Baltimore. It is also the second straight victory over JHU in overtime on its home field, defeating them 11-10 back in 2019.

*The Quakers have won five of the last six matchups against Hopkins, and 10 of the last 11.

*The 13-goal total is the second most Penn has ever scored against the Blue Jays, only behind the 15 scored in the 2020 victory at Franklin Field.

*Sophomore Bella Kehoe led the offense with a career-high four goals on six shots, all of which were on target.

*Brandt, who earned her second collegiate game-winning goal, finished with three points on two goals and an assist. After a five-goal performance in the season opener against La Salle, she now has eight points for the season, second most on the team, while her seven goals lead the squad.

*Freshman Patricia Columbia-Walsh continues to dazzle in her early collegiate career, totaling four points on a goal and three assists. With her five-point effort last weekend, she leads the squad with nine points through two games.

*Senior Kennon Moon also had a multi-score game, adding two goals.

*Chung, senior Niki Miles, and junior Katelyn Cumiskey each had two-point outings with a goal and an assist each.

*Sophomore Gracie Smith tallied her second straight game with a goal, wrapping up the eight total Quakers that found the back of the net for the evening.

*Hopkins won the draw control game, 17-11, but Brandt and sophomore Natasha Gorriaran led the way for Penn with four each.

*Defensively, the Quakers forced the Blue Jays into 24 turnovers including 13 causes. Miles led the team with three caused turnovers, while Cumiskey, Columbia-Walsh, and junior Sophie Davis each added two. Miles also led the team with five ground balls.

How It Happened
Neither team had more than a two-goal advantage as the game entered the fourth quarter with the Blue Jays leading, 10-8. A little over a minute into the final frame, Hopkins' Ashley Mackin put away her fifth of the game to push the lead out to three, 11-8.

However, the momentum started to swiftly sway back to the Quakers with three straight goals over the next nine minutes. Kehoe, who already had two finishes at that point, added her third at the 10:17 mark before Columbia-Walsh capitalized on her goal three minutes later.

With nearly five minutes left in regulation and the Quakers on an extra-woman opportunity, Kehoe connected again to draw the game even at 11-11.

The clock was not friendly in the closing two minutes after Hopkins put away an unassisted finish at the 1:55 mark to regain the lead and momentum, 12-11. The Blue Jays even won the ensuing draw control to run the clock down more. However, the Quaker defense was relentless in the final minute as senior Izzy Rohr forced the Blue Jays into a turnover with 33 seconds remaining.

An unlucky failed clear gave the Blue Jays the ball back with 14 seconds left, but Penn didn't give up. Hopkin's Paris Colgain, who scooped the turnover near the sideline lost the ball on a deflected pass where Brandt grabbed it and quickly went the other way. With under 10 seconds on the clock, Brandt pushed into the offensive third where she dropped a pass over the top of the backline to a wide open Chung who finished the shot right at the buzzer to send the game to overtime.

With a fresh six minutes on the clock, Gorriaran won the draw to start extra time and never gave the Blue Jays a chance. Two minutes in, the Quakers earned a free-position shot on the right side of the eight-meter fan in the stick of the team's leading scorer Brandt. Without hesitation, she drove toward the crease and shoved a right-side shot past the keeper's helmet for the game-winning goal.
