PHILADELPHIA – Recording the best balance beam performance in program history, the University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team registered the program's fifth-highest team score all-time with a 195.125 in a quad-meet defeat at Temple Sunday evening at McGonigle Hall.

The Quakers finished fourth behind the host Owls, George Washington and NC State in the final meet before the Ivy Classic next weekend.

Led by the Marr sisters—Campbell and McCaleigh—Penn tallied a 49.475 on beam led by their 9.950 on back-to-back routines, tying each other for the individual program record.

Alyssa Rosen made her debut on floor exercise and definitely made the most of it with a 9.825.
Carly Oniki recorded a 9.775, while
Marissa Lassiter had a 9.750. Following those three were
Sara Kenefick (9.650),
Emma Davies (9.550) and
Olivia VanHorn (8.950).

Three scores of 9.800 and above highlighted Penn's effort on the vault, led by
Campbell Marr (9.900),
Rose DeBarberie (9.800) and
Kiersten Belkoff (9.800).
Alisha Werlen scored a 9.750, Davies a 9.625 and VanHorn a 9.250.

Penn notched three more scores of 9.800 and above on the uneven bars led by
McCaleigh Marr's 9.850. Kirsten Kuhn and Kenefick both totaled 9.800's. Davies finished with a 9.675 while Lassiter had a 9.100 and Oniki an 8.950.

Best score in program history? No problem there. All five scores that counted towards the rotation score were 9.800's and above as
Campbell Marr notched a program-record tying 9.950 and
McCaleigh Marr followed her up directly with a matching score. Rosen finished with a 9.875 while Kuhn and Belkoff had identical marks of 9.850. Werlen rounded out the rotation with a 9.725.

Penn heads to Providence, R.I. for the annual Ivy Classic meet against host Brown, Cornell and Yale next Sunday, Feb. 26. The Quakers will be looking looking for their first Ivy title since 2020 and 14th all-time.
