How It Happened
Perhaps still carrying some leftover offensive firepower from a five-goal second half on Friday, Penn wasted no time finding the back of the net, taking the lead in the 2nd minute on an impeccably placed header from Stas Korzeniowski.

In the 9th minute, Charlie Gaffney intercepted a clearing attempt at the top of the 18-yard box and made the extra pass to Ben Stitz across the six-yard box.

Hewes got his first goal of the night in the 18th minute off assists from Stitz and Isaac McGinnis. McGinnis later got on the board with a rocket from the top of the 18-yard box that caught the underside of the crossbar and landed just over the goal line.

The first half ended with Penn flexing its muscle on both ends of the pitch, with the defense yielding just one shot on goal from FDU.

After FDU finally got on the board in the 65h minute, Hewes capped a beautiful left-to-right attack, burying his second of the day off feeds from Korzeniowski and Gaffney in the 70th.

Off a Mateo Zazueta-delivered corner kick in the 81st minute, Mattias Hanchard placed a header from about 10 yards out into the six-yard box where Brandon Curran flicked the ball into the top left corner for his first collegiate goal.

Up Next
