PRINCETON, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania women's rowing team closed out the regular season on Saturday with races against Princeton and Tennessee on Lake Carnegie, a win by the Quakers' Second Varsity Eight highlighting the day.
"A really hard day of racing against two talented squads," said Penn's head coach,
Wesley Ng. "Our Third Varsity showed a lot of fight in the second 1,000 and I know for the seniors in that crew will be chomping at the bit for the Ivy League Championship. The Varsity Eight had a really good learning experience that we'll break down and aim to make big improvements. Both of our coxed fours had room to keep finding speed heading into Ivies. Finally, the Second Varsity Eight should be incredibly proud of its performance on Saturday, winning its race by more than four seconds."
