LA JOLLA, Calif. – The University of Pennsylvania women's tennis got off to a hot start out in California on Friday afternoon. The improved to 8-4 on the season with a 5-0 victory at UC San Diego on Friday.
Penn took the early lead as it used doubles wins from #41 Iuliia Bryzgalova/Marija Curnic (6-0) and Sabine Rutlauka/Eileen Wang (6-4).  
 
The Quakers earned singles victories from Gavriella Smith, Iuliia Bryzgalova, Sabine Rutlauka and Amanda Chan to earn the match victory.
