* Penn knocked off a ranked opponent for the first time since October 26, 2019 against #21/24 Yale (1-0, 2OT).
* Burney's goal was his second game-winning Ivy League score of the season; his 75th minute score broke a one-all tie against Yale back on October 1.
* The victory was Penn's sixth road win of the season, the most for the program since 1980.
* The Quakers picked up their eighth straight victory, moving to 9-1-1. The win streak is the longest for the program since the 1972 Ivy League championship squad.
* Penn has now won nine matches in a single season for the first time since the 2010 Ivy League championship team finished 13-6. 2010 also marked the last time the Red and Blue started a season 3-0 in conference play.

Stas Korzeniowski scored for the second straight match, re-taking sole possession of second place on the team with seven goals.
How It Happened
Cornell opened the scoring in the 14th minute, just the third time all season Penn did not crack the scoresheet first. The deficit did not last long, as
Aaron Messer notched his first goal as a Quaker just over five minutes later.
In the final 10 minutes of the opening half, Korzeniowski took advantage of a slip by a Cornell attacker to obtain possession in his own defensive end, then raced down the field and blasted home the tie-breaking goal, blowing by a handful of Big Red midfielders and backliners in the process.
Penn held the lead into the second half until the Big Red knotted the match at two in the 58th minute. Cornell had another look from inside the 18-yard box just shy of the 70-minute mark, but the attempt sailed over the crossbar.
Brandon Curran sent a header toward an open net in the 76th minute, but a sliding goal line clearance by a Cornell defender kept it 2-2.
Off an extended possession that started with a free kick in the 88th minute,
Ben Stitz delivered a left-side cross into the box that found its way to Burney on the right side of the box. After fighting through contact from a Cornell defender, Burney buried the winner, igniting a raucous reaction from the Penn sideline.
