PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team finished third on Sunday at George Washington's Lindsey Ferris Invitational behind a team score of 192.850, outscoring fellow Ivy Cornell, but the Quakers were edged by Kent State and the host Colonials.
Penn once again finished in style, racking up a 48.700 on beam with all five scorers earning at least a 9.725.

FLOOR | Penn 48.275
Freshman Rebekah Lashley led the way on floor with a 9.750 on Penn's first rotation, just ahead of Jordyn Mannino and Darby Nelson, who each came in with a 9.675. Sophomore Sydney Kraez and Darcy Matsuda rounded out the team's scoring five with a 9.650 and 9.525, respectively.
VAULT | Penn 47.500
Kraez, who won vault, floor and the all-around in the season opener last weekend, earned the highest score of any of the Quakers on Sunday with a 9.675 after last week's 9.775. Lashley followed her with a 9.525 while Nelson and Edie Noor Graber each picked up a 9.475. Rose Hoffman rounded out the top five with a 9.350.
BARS | Penn 48.325
The Quakers turned things up a notch on their third rotation, led by brilliant performances from Kraez, Hoffman and Kellie Flavin with all three of them earning scores of in the 9.700 range. Flavin's routine garnered a 9.725, Hoffman picked up a 9.700 and Kraez earned a team-high 9.775. Mannino leapt inside the team's top five with a solid 9.675 before Tara Mills earned a 9.450.
BEAM | Penn 48.700
Penn continued its strong momentum into beam, the Quakers' best rotation of the day, racking up a 48.700 combined team score with all five scorers earning at least a 9.725. Lashley, Nelson and Matsuda all finished with a 9.750 while Kraez and Lauren Joost both scored a 9.725. The beam marked the second time in a row that the Quakers ended with their best team score after finishing with a 48.700 on floor last Sunday.
