PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania's women's squash team (5-2, 1-1) will briefly step outside of Ivy League play with a matchup against one of the best teams in the country in #2 Trinity (8-0) on Saturday at 11 a.m. The Quakers are looking to avenge an 8-1 Howe Cup defeat last season.
Previewing Penn
The Quaker women are looking to build off an exciting 7-2 comeback victory over #11 Dartmouth on January 12. At 5-2 and ranked #7 in the country, the Quakers remain of the nation's best programs and will continue their run through the top five this weekend.
In the two matches against the Bantams last season,
Reeham Salah delivered the only match victories. Now, with a deep Quaker lineup and some exciting freshman, the Red and Blue are looking to get revenge and defeat its first top-five opponent since beating Stanford on November 16, 2018.
Leading the way for the Quakers will be the freshman duo of
Navmi Sharma and
Amina Abou El Enin. Sharma has moved up to the fifth spot in the lineup in recent days and shown tremendous success, going 2-1 and falling just two points short of a third win against the #1 Harvard Crimson. Abou El Enin remains undefeated as she looks to match her male freshman counterpart Saksham Choudhary at 8-0 on the year.
#7 Penn at #2 Trinity – Saturday, 11:00 a.m.

Previewing the Bantams
The Bantams are off to another terrific start, having started the season 8-0 and went the first seven games without dropping a point. Trinity has finished as the runner up in the Howe Cup the past two seasons and is looking to win its first title since the 2013-14 season. At the top of the lineup is Min Jie Teh, a junior from Malaysia, who has rolled her way through several top opponents. The Bantams are a young team, with just two seniors featured heavily in the lineup.
