CAMBRIDGE – It was a balanced effort for the University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse team has No. 12 Penn (11-4, 5-2 Ivy) received two goals from seven different players on its way to a 17-9 win at Harvard (6-9, 1-6 Ivy).

Michaela McMahon each had a pair of goals for the Quakers.
Abby Bosco,
Laura Murphy and
Laura Crawford each found the back of the net once.
The Quakers never trailed in the game, and twice bounced back after the Crimson tied the game in the first half. Ultimately, an 11-1 Penn run over 22:48 midway through the game was the difference. Nine different players scored during that sequence and the Quakers found themselves with a 15-5 lead.
The Quakers will enter the postseason as the No. 3 seed in the Ivy League Tournament, and will play Dartmouth on May 3 at Columbia. Opening draw is set for 3 p.m. at Rocco B. Commisso Stadium.

- Gabby Rosenzweig had a game-high seven points, dishing out five assists to go with her two goals.
- Rosenzweig now has 79 points this season, No. 4 all-time in a season by a Quaker. Her 49 assists are No. 2 all-time in a season by a Quaker.
- Rosenzweig now has 206 points for her career. She is just the fifth player in Penn history to surpass 200 career points and she now ranks No. 4 all-time. Rosenzweig also now has 101 career assists, she is just the third player in Penn history to surpass 100 career assists and ranks No. 3 all-time at Penn.
- Penn had a 17-11 edge on draw controls, led by Erin Barry and Chelsea Kibler who each had five.
- Madison Jiranek scored on both shots on goal she had in the game.
How It Happened
Penn came out of the blocks with a goal 0:43 into the opening half as
Madison Jiranek scored her second of the season.
Elyse Decker followed just over two minutes later off Rosenzweig's first assist of the game.
Harvard scored three of the next four to tie the game, 3-3, with 19:21 remaining in the first half. Keeley MacAfee had two of those goals, scoring twice in a span of 0:48 to level the game. The two sides would trade a goa apiece after that, with
Zoe Belodeau scoring for Penn followed by Grace Hulslander with 11:19 left in the first period.
After that, the Red and Blue woke up to the tune of an 11-1 run and a commanding 15-5 lead. Jiranek started the run with a EMO goal and Belodeau combined with Rosenzweig for two goals in 0:37 to help extend the lead to 8-4.
The Red and Blue scored the first six goals of the second half, highlighted by goals from
Laura Crawford and
Taylyn Stadler 0:09 apart to open the second frame. Six different Quakers scored goals in that run, with Rosenzweig factoring in on three of the goals with a goal and two assists.
