WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics program fell on the road at William & Mary, 192.450-191.900, in its final meet before next weekend's ECAC Championship in Ithaca, N.Y.
BARS
Penn started the evening on bars and were buoyed once again by Allison Frommer and Jordyn Mannino. Frommer was fourth in the lineup and hit a 9.775 while Mannino was further back, placed fifth in the queue, but knocked down a 9.750. The pair, along with Libby Garfoot's 9.650 and a 9.450 from both Kellie Flavin and Rose Hoffman, pushed the Quakers' combined score to 48.075 for the event. Through the first rotation, Penn trailed William & Mary by just a tenth.
VAULT
Lauren Joost led off on Penn's second rotation, opening the event with a 9.475 and was followed by Sydney Kraez's 9.650. Senior Valerie Rube shot some energy into the team with a 9.625, which led to Caroline Moore's 9.575. Nicole Swirbalus wrapped up Penn's top five with a 9.425, bringing the event total to 47.750.
FLOOR
Penn raised the level in its third rotation, laying down a 48.125 on floor, behind five performances of at least 9.550. Kraez eclipsed the 9.700 mark with a 9.725 with seniors Morgan Hunker and Swirbalus following her with 9.625's. Darcy Matsuda and Moore rounded out the five with a 9.600 and 9.550, respectively.
BEAM
Moore put together the best routine of the evening for the Quakers on the balance beam with a 9.850 and freshman Natalie Yang wasn't far behind with a 9.775. Matsuda and Joost each rose to a 9.625 and 9.600, respectively. For Penn's final spot, Kraez and Swirbalus leveled with a 9.100 to bring the final score to 47.950.

Penn will trek north to Ithaca, N.Y. for the ECAC Championship on Saturday, March 23.
