PHILADELPHIA - The No. 2 University of Pennsylvania men's squash team (11-2, 4-1 Ivy) will play its final match in Philadelphia this season on Friday when it hosts No. 14 Cornell (4-9, 1-4 Ivy) at 4 p.m.. The Quakers will then wrap up their regular season when they travel to No. 5 Columbia (7-4, 3-2 Ivy) on Sunday.
Previewing Penn
Penn heads into the final weekend of Ivy League play having suffered its only loss in a, 6-3, battle against No. 1 Harvard.Â
The Quakers have enjoyed a successful season to this point. With wins over Princeton and Yale, the Red and Blue have defeated both Ivy League foes in the same season for the first time since 1973-74. The team's 11 wins are also the most in the regular season in program history.Â
Penn has been led by freshman Aly Abou Eleinen this season. Abou Eleinen started the year with twelve straight wins before losing his first match, 3-1, against the Crimson on Sunday. Along with Abou Eleinen,

David Yacobucci all hold 4-1 records during Ivy League play.Â
Head coach Gilly Lane and the men's squash program will honor its senior class prior to Friday's match against Cornell. The class includes
Karim Hussein, Aaaron Kim,
Alex Norman,
Max Reed, and
Jonathan Zeitels. Together the class led the Quakers to its first ever No. 1 ranking by the College Squash Association this season while earning milestone wins over Yale, Princeton, and Dartmouth throughout their careers.Â

The Quakers swept Cornell for the first time since the 2006-07 season in last year's meeting. Penn has taken the last two in the series by the combined score of, 17-1.Â
The Big Red and 4-9 this season, but have won two of their last three which included their lone Ivy League win against Brown last weekend.Â

Penn fell to Columbia in a close, 5-4, battle last season. Tied at four, the match came down to each team's number one player. For the Quakers, that was freshman
Andrew Douglas. Douglas ended up losing close first and third games on his way to a 3-0 defeat.Â
The Lions are 7-4, but are winners of four straight, three of which have come via sweep. Columbia is 3-2 in Ivy League play with its losses coming to Dartmouth and Harvard.Â
