How it Happened

The junior lost the fourth, but came back to take the fifth and give the Quakers their first match of the day.

Andrew Douglas had a comeback of his own. The sophomore lost the first two games to go down 2-0, including the second gam, 14-12. Douglas fought back however fought back to take the next two 11-9, 11-8, and tie the match at two games apiece. The fifth game, like the rest of the match was tight, but in the end it was Douglas who prevailed, winning 11-8 to tie the match, 2-2 after the first shift.

Wil Hagen earned a quick, 3-0, victory at eight to give the Red and Blue their first lead of the day. Michael Mehl and Jonathan Zeitels each went up 2-0 in their matches with the Quakers up 3-2 in the overall score.
