NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 4 University of Pennsylvania men's squash team fell in the College Squash Association team championship semifinals on Saturday to No. 1 Harvard. The Quakers will face Rochester in the third-fourth match at 2:45 on Sunday.
How it Happened
After a win on Friday against Yale, Penn set up a rematch against Harvard from earlier this season at the Kline and Specter Squash Center. In that match, the Quakers led late, but the Crimson climbed back to win 6-3.Â
Saturday was much different with
Andrew Douglas winning the lone match for the Red and Blue. In the first meeting between the two teams, Douglas trailed 2-0 before climbing back to win, 3-2. This time it was Douglas who gave up the 2-0 lead. The sophomore trailed, 7-5 in the final game before pulling away to win, 11-8 in the fifth.Â
David Yacobucci and
James Flynn each split the opening games in their matches before losing the last two in 3-1 losses.Â
