PREVIEWING PENN
*Despite the bye in week five, the Quakers remain one of the top statistical teams in the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL). Penn currently ranks first pass offense (219.0 yards/game), total offense (378.5 yards/game) and turnover margin (+4), while ranking second in scoring offense (37.0 points/game) and scoring defense (12.8 points/game).
*The Penn defense has been a major strength of the team this fall, ranking second in both pass defense efficiency (99.3) and interceptions (6). The Quakers have also yielded just three scores (two touchdowns, one field goal) on six red zone trips by their opponents through four games this season.
*Senior linebacker
Quinn Karam was named the CSFL's Defensive Player of the Week in week four after producing the second Penn defensive score in as many weeks with a fumble recovery for a touchdown at Cornell. Freshman
Matt Gorman continues to pace the league in tackles with 45, averaging 11.2 per game. In the secondary,
Tracey Woods Jr. has a CSFL-leading eight pass breakups, and
Michael Doulong's two interceptions are tied for the most.
*Two-time CSFL Offensive Player of the Week, quarterback
Eddie Jenkins, leads the top-ranked Penn offense against a struggling Post defense that is surrendering over 370 yards per game and ranked last in rushing defense. Jenkins continues to lead the league in total offense (257.2 yards/game) and passing yards per game (218.8), while wideout
Aidan Kelly's 87.2 receiving yards per game are also tops in the CSFL.
*Jenkins' 359 total yards at Cornell (10/6) still holds as the highest single-game mark in the league, as are his 335 passing yards amassed in the same contest.
