PHILADELPHIA – Two wins so far in 2017 for the Penn football team and two Ivy League Player of the Week honors following the Red and Blue's 65-47 win at Lehigh on Saturday.
If you've been following the #UPrising's social media since Saturday, you're surely aware of the performance sophomore
Karekin Brooks put together in his first career start at running back. The Ivy League was also aware, selecting Brooks as Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week.
What you may not have expected in a game that saw the Quakers concede 47 points is that a defensive player would be chosen as Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week.
Nick Miller came up with big plays for the Penn defense when they were needed most, spotting his team's explosive offense a few extra possessions which the Quakers capitalized on en route to their highest point total since 1946.
These are the first Ivy League weekly awards for both Brooks and Miller.
