PHILADELPHIA – They're back! The University of Pennsylvania women's swimming and diving team returns to action on Saturday to begin the 2025-26 season, hosting Delaware at the newly renovated Sheerr Pool. Diving begins at 10 a.m., followed by swimming at noon.
For the first time in program history, the meet will be broadcast live on ESPN+, a historic moment for Penn at Sheerr. Aaron Hook will provide the play-by-play call of the event.

*The Quakers enter the new year following a fifth-place finish at 2025 Ivy League Championships, where they scored 990.5 points at Princeton.
*Penn returns two-time All-Ivy pick
Anna Moehn, a senior who claimed a pair of silver medals (200 free and 500 free). Senior
Sydney Bergstrom is also a former All-Ivy selection, picking up second-team honors in 2022-23 after finishing second in the 1,650 free. Sophomore
Kayla Fu was a first-team All-Ivy honoree in the 100 free after claiming the gold medal.
*Fu was Penn's lone Ivy League champion last year, picking up first place in the 100 free with a time of 48.61.
*Moehn and Bergstrom both qualified for NCAA Championships last season. It was Moehn's second career appearance, swimming the mile (21st; 16:03.51), 500 free (36th; 4:41.69), and the 200 free (48th; 1:47.90). Bergstrom swam NCAAs for the first time, placing 36th in the mile (16:20.77) and 57th in the 500 free (4:47.10).
*Fu enters the 2025-26 season holding three individual school records in the 50 free (22.40), 100 free (48.61), and 100 fly (53.19). She also is part of three school-record relay teams in the 800 free relay, 200 medley relay, and 400 medley relay.
*Junior
Katya Eruslanova is Penn's only other active school record holder with top marks in the 200 IM (1:59.52) and 400 IM (4:11.93), both set in 2024.

Mike Schnur has a new face on his coaching staff ahead of the 2025-26 season, but is familiar to many swimming fans.
Emma Sticklen—a three-time NCAA champion and NCAA record holder in the 200 fly at Texas—enters her first season with the Quakers as an assistant coach.
Scouting the Blue Hens
*Delaware enters the weekend posting a 2-0 overall record following meet victories over Old Dominion (240-54) and West Virginia (209-91).
*Following the Blue Hens' victory over the Mountaineers, diver Alex Pastris was named ASUN Women's Diver of the Week. She scored a 281.55 in the three-meter dive while taking first place in the event. Her score achieved an NCAA Zone Diving cut for the third straight year.
*Swimmer Victoria Novinskiy picked up ASUN Women's Swimmer of the Week honors following UD's win over ODU to begin the season. She won three races—two individual and one relay—with time of 2:02.96 (200 fly) and 55.81 (100 fly) and the 400 medley relay.
*The Blue Hens finished third of nine teams at last year's CAA Championships. Delaware posted two CAA Champions in Novinskiy (200 fly) and the 800 freestyle relay squad.
