Women's Rowing to Compete for Ivy League Championship Sunday

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's rowing team enters the championship season on Sunday, as the Quakers send two Eights and two Fours to the Ivy League Championships which will take place on the Cooper River in nearby Cherry Hill, N.J.

  Varsity 8 – 8:10 a.m.
  Second Varsity 8 – 8:30 a.m.
  Varsity 4 – 8:40 a.m.
  Second Varsity 4 – 9:10 a.m.
Schedule (Afternoon Finals)
  Second Varsity 4 – Petite Final at 2:30 p.m., Grand Final at 2:45
  Varsity 4 – Petite Final at 3:15 p.m., Grand Final at 3:30
  Second Varsity 8 – Petite Final at 3:45 p.m., Grand Final at 4:00
  Varsity 8 – Petite Final at 4:15 p.m., Grand Final at 4:30

Rankings
Among the Varsity 8 boats in Sunday's races, Yale is ranked ninth in the latest USRowing/CRCA national poll while Brown is 10th, Princeton is 11th, Harvard is 16th, and Penn is 19th. Dartmouth is one of nine schools among teams receiving votes outside the top 20.

"Our team is really looking forward to competing this weekend. The Ivy League teams are well-prepared, deep, and competitive, and we'll have to bring our most complete piece to Cherry Hill in order to achieve our goals. I believe we have a resilient group that has really made strides in the last six weeks."
